Grasscrete™ at Millbrook Country Club

Millbrook Country Club is a world-class country club, with two 18-hole golf courses, and hosts the New Zealand Open. A recent cart path upgrade required an innovative permeable paving solution.

Grasscrete™ is a cast in-situ, reinforced permeable paving system that allows grass to grow through pockets in a fully trafficable concrete slab, capable of taking up to 40T gross vehicle weight.

Nearby tree roots needed water to be able to penetrate the cart paths, but with a system that would be able to penetrate the cart paths, but with a system that would be as hard-wearing as the adjacent asphalt. Grasscrete™ allows water to percolate through to the soil and roots below.
