EnviroPod® Filter

Cost-effective, easily maintained catchpit insert.

The EnviroPod® Filter is the original catch pit insert, capturing and retaining litter, suspended solids, and other gross pollutants in stormwater runoff.

Installed in either a kerb inlet or drop-in catch basin, the EnviroPod® Filter is fitted with a re-usable, polyester filter bag, available with several mesh screen sizes and oil-absorbent media dependent on the pollution generated from each specific site.

In addition to being a stand-alone treatment device for small catchment areas, the EnviroPod® Filter is effective as a pre-treatment device for use in a treatment train with hydrodynamic separators, filtration, ponds, and wetlands. In many cases, it is often the most practical solution for retrofits.

How it works

Benefits

Effective Pollution Capture
  • Sediment, Litter, and Debris Capture: Prevents pollutants from entering the drainage system by capturing sediment, litter, debris, and other contaminants before they reach waterways.
  • High Removal Efficiency: Independently tested and proven to remove over 95% of pollutants, including gross pollutants, ensuring cleaner stormwater runoff.
  • Gross Pollutant Capture: Specifically targets gross pollutants, ensuring thorough removal and protection of waterways.
Versatile Installation and Adaptability
  • Fits Various Catchpit Sizes: Available in two standard sizes to fit most pre-cast regular and kerb entry catch pits, making it ideal for retrofitting existing infrastructure.
  • Simple Installation: Designed for easy insertion into catch pits without the need for expensive equipment, facilitating quick and hassle-free installation.
  • Adjustable Design: Adjustable panels allow fine-tuning during installation for a perfect fit, ensuring optimal performance in various catch pit configurations.
Cost-Effectiveness and Sustainability
  • Low Capital and Maintenance Costs: Offers a cost-effective stormwater treatment solution with no construction required, resulting in lower capital costs compared to other stormwater treatment devices.
  • Sustainable Solution: Avoids surface flooding by bypassing high flows with no movable parts, reducing the need for expensive construction and ensuring long-term cost savings.
Customisable Filter Bag Options
  • Range of Filter Bag Mesh Sizes: Provides a range of filter bag mesh sizes to target gross pollutants to fine sediment, offering flexibility to address specific pollution concerns, including plastic pellets ( nurdles)  and sediment. Talk to us to find out which is right for your site.
Optional Oil Adsorbent Socks

The EnviroPod® Filter can be enhanced with LavaSorb, a reusable natural oil absorber boom. The boom sits  inside the filter bag to capture oil and grease, enhancing the EnviroPod's pollutant removal capabilities. Absorbs up to 2L per sock. Talk to us about LavaSorb.

Compliance and Testing
  • Independently Tested: Independently tested by Auckland University, NZTA, Auckland Council, Tauranga City Council, and the University of South Australia, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lab-Tested Results: Lab test results demonstrate high removal efficiencies, providing confidence in the product's performance and reliability.
